I work with trash.

In my early years spent at my grandparent’s house, I witnessed how every single material could be reused until it is no more. Their frugal lifestyle instilled in me a fascination for the infinite possibilities within discarded materials, which has become the backbone of my artistic practice.

Trash holds narratives.

Like the way our nails are a journal of our health, the trash we produce is a journal of our consumption. I believe I can know you more intimately by looking at your trash can than by looking at your social media profiles.

Trash is ubiquitous.

Aside from consumed products that have reached the end of a life-cycle, trash also takes the form of discarded memories, dreams, relationships, places, heritages and traditions. By confronting trash as an embodiment of our social and historical disconnect, my work serves as a living archive.
